During a working trip to the Buzdyaksky district, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited the construction of the third stage of the greenhouse complex "Buzdyaksky". By August 4, 2018, the work had been 65 percent completed.
According to Shafoat Khabibrakhmanova, in the future it is planned to increase the area for growing vegetables in the protected ground up to 12 hectares, and to increase the vegetable harvest to 14 thousand tonnes per year. The plans include the cultivation of tomatoes, bell peppers, squashes. In addition to greenhouse vegetables, wheat, sunflower and buckwheat are cultivated on the farm.
«Of course, this is an amazing project. Very rare, even on a national scale. Actually, seven years ago, the farmers came to us with a proposal to build a greenhouse farm – the first stage, several hectares. It was hard to believe in, but we helped with the infrastructure, electricity and loans. Now in 2018 we see that 6 hectares of greenhouses are working. The production volume has already exceeded 1 billion rubles. Another 3 hectares are being built, 3 more hectares are planned. The total will be 12 hectares. The volume of production will eventually be about 2 billion rubles. Today, as many as 100 people work here, and after the third stage is completed, this number will reach 150. As a matter of fact, this is an example of a modern, thought-through, systematic approach. Such an experience and examples inspire us. You can do everything – should there be a desire and reasonable approaches to implementation.»
